All Chickens Are Created Equal.
If they stayed that way, buying a chicken would be a simple matter of price comparison. But they don't, and it isn't. What happens to a chicken between the time it leaves the egg and the time it leaves the meat market can do a lot to tip the scales. It may sound positively undemocratic, but the way we raise our chickens at Shelton's puts them in a priviledged upper class that would make our competition blush with envy, were they not so busy inventing ways to cut corners. Unlike the pullet proletariat, Shelton's chickens are raised drug free. they get no growth stimulants, antibiotics or hormones, nothing but the finest diet we can provide for them. And we process our chickens completely by hand, whereas most other chicken is unceremoniously machine eviscerated. (Shelton's method may be equally unceremonious, but it's a lot cleaner.) Don't get us wrong. Shelton's welcomes competition. It's what made America great. But if we must compete, we are determined to do it with a superior product. We hold that truth to be self-evident.
